This year, Yixing City, Jiangsu Province promulgated a timely subsidy policy to encourage farmers to purchase dryers. Farmers’ enthusiasm for purchasing machines has greatly increased. At present, the city has added 95 dryers. However, the heat source technology for the dryer is directly related to the quality of work and the cost of farmers' future investment. To further explore the application of different heat source technologies on grain dryers, the city's agricultural machinery promotion stations are located in the Xinjin Street Chengjin Planting Cooperative and Gaochun Township. Fugen Agricultural Service Cooperative and Yangxiang Town 100 Grain Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd. conducted experiments and demonstrations of air-energy heat pump hot air dryers, steam energy hot air dryers, and natural gas hot air dryers. Combined with the summer and autumn seasons, the operation data of the dryers were recorded, and the grain drying costs and operational benefits were calculated.
Through experiments, air heat pump technology will become the focus and direction for the next stage of development and promotion. Although the initial investment of the air-energy heat pump is large, the operation quality is stable, the drying cost is low, and the investment return rate is high. Moreover, the air-energy heat pump technology can effectively reduce the traditional drying of smoke and carbon dioxide emissions, save energy, improve the environment, and can focus on promotion and application.
