This evening (4/17/13), the Berwyn Fire Department responded to a fire at Stanley Avenue and Grove Avenue. Upon arrival, first units observed heavy smoke coming from the roof of a two-story building that houses businesses on the first floor and apartments above. Engine 900 took command on Grove Avenue and reported that two lines were being stretched for an interior attack. Truck 904 was positioned on the roof, while Quint 901 was ready for a master stream, though it wasn’t needed. Notably, the new Ford Expedition assigned to Incident Command 900 and the bright red and white LED light bar on Engine 902 stood out. Here are some of my photos from the scene.
