Here's a report from Steve Redick of the Chicago Still Alarm at 5701 N. Newcastle:

Upon arrival, about 15 minutes into the incident, we were met with fire coming out of the roof. The crews quickly moved to the attic and began attacking the fire from below. A few things stood out during this response. First, Truck 55 was positioned in what some refer to as "beaching," and it worked quite effectively here. Also, the ground ladder was placed strategically to cover all sides of the structure, which is always a good sign. Looking at the photos from Squad 7, it’s clear that they're using the same rig featured on the TV show *Chicago Fire*. The number 7 on the door looks like a well-done tape job, which makes me think this unit will be around for a while. It was an unusual call for such a typically quiet neighborhood, making it an interesting incident to witness.
