From the Chicago Ridge Police Department Facebook page: When you wear different uniforms, but play for the same team—no matter the patch, we are all still family. It’s moments like these that remind us of the strength and unity within our community. Earlier today, a house fire broke out on Oxford and Washington. The Chicago Ridge Fire Department was quickly joined by multiple agencies including North Palos FD, Burbank FD, Bedford Park FD, Bridgeview FD, and Oak Lawn FD. Thanks to their swift response, the fire was contained before it could spread further. Officer Kaspar and Officer Jenen were among the first on scene and helped the homeowner safely remove their two dogs. After the flames were under control, the two cats were found unharmed. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. This is a powerful reminder of how our emergency services work together, not just as separate departments, but as one strong, unified force.
