Larry Shapiro shared the following update:

I recently visited Carol Stream and captured images of all three front-line medic units using their new numbering system. All three units were stationed at Station 28, and I managed to take a group photo as well.

During my visit, I was informed that a new unit—built on a Freightliner chassis and featuring a Medtec ambulance body—is expected to arrive soon. This unit will replace Medic 29, which is currently in service.

It’s always interesting to see how the fleet evolves over time, especially with new units coming in and older ones being phased out. The transition to the new numbering system seems to be going smoothly, and it's great to have clear visual documentation of the current setup. I look forward to seeing the new Freightliner unit in action once it arrives.
