The ore quantity error obtained by the two does not exceed 2%, and the ore measurement is considered correct. If the error between the two exceeds 2%, the cause should be carefully searched.

First, instrumentation measurement method

For the original ore that is directly piled up without breaking, it is generally set to the middle balance (tested by the metrological department and within the valid verification period), and the vehicle is measured by the vehicle in the middle of the vehicle.

For ore that needs to be crushed before it can be piled up, it is also possible to measure the ore before the crushing, but now the electronic belt scale is generally used to measure the broken ore on the transport belt.

Second, the measurement method of combining the volume of the heap with the bulk density of the ore

In the process of pile-up, several times (usually 7 to 9 times) are randomly selected into the ore samples to determine the ore weight of the ore, that is, the weight of the ore per unit volume. The amount of ore sample measured each time should be determined according to the size of the ore. For example, the ore heap leaching, the ore amount should be no less than 2t, and the ore crushed to -20mm should be no less than 0.5t, accurately weighed, according to the method of pile-up. The degree of compaction is loaded into a container or cave that has been previously sized to measure its volume. The average of the sum of the measured values ​​is taken as the bulk density of the ore of the heap. After the entire pile has been piled up, the volume of the pile is measured by experienced measurement technicians. If the yard is irregular, it should be measured in different regions. After accumulating the total volume of the heap, multiply the ore weight to determine the total amount of wet ore.

The amount of ore measured by the instrumentation method or the ore bulk density method is the wet weight of the ore, which includes the water content in the ore. Usually called ore grade, refer to the percentage of dry ore metals. The sample to be analyzed needs to be dried during sample preparation, otherwise it cannot be pulverized to -200 mesh; the sample is often dried at 105-110 °C before analysis and measurement for weighing. Therefore, the result of the analysis report is the percentage of metal in the ore dried at 105-110 ° C, not the percentage of metal in the natural humidity of the cage ore. Only after deducting the moisture in the ore can the actual quality of the ore being harvested be truly obtained. This is very important for ores with a lot of clay . For example, the ore water content of the Zimuyu Gold Mine in Guizhou is between 25% and 31%.

The method for determining the moisture in the ore is a routine measurement and will not be discussed here. As for the sample for measuring moisture, it is generally not taken separately, but the sample taken from the metal grade in the ore is from the same parent, and only the measurement method is different.
