In March 2008, the China Technology Market Association held the third "Golden Bridge Awards" ceremony in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The event celebrated 129 outstanding scientific and technological projects, as well as numerous advanced collectives and individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of the technology market. Among the awardees were two remarkable projects from the State Grid Nanjing Automation Research Institute/Nanjing NARI Group: “East China Power Market Jiangsu Supporting System Development” and “Anhui Power Grid Low Frequency Oscillation, Transient Instability Mode and Mechanism and Static Reactive Compensation Configuration,” both of which received the prestigious “Golden Bridge Award.” The East China Power Market Jiangsu Supporting System was developed to support the construction of the East China Power Market, align with its operational rules, and ensure smooth simulation and power-down operations. Meanwhile, the research on low-frequency oscillation, transient instability, and static reactive compensation in the Anhui Power Grid focused on applying the EEAC (Energy-Entropy Analysis of Chaos) theory to analyze power system stability. This study explored how grid structure and operating modes influence instability and low-frequency oscillations, and it proposed control strategies for major transmission corridors in the Anhui Power Grid. The project also introduced measures to enhance the safety and stability of the Anhui Power Grid, including the use of safety control devices and SVC (Static Var Compensator) to increase transmission limits. Additionally, it outlined a comprehensive PMU (Phasor Measurement Unit) layout plan for the wide-area dynamic monitoring system of the Anhui Power Grid, ensuring multi-angle system coverage and real-time monitoring capabilities. To recognize and promote outstanding achievements in the technology market, the Golden Bridge Award was established by the China Technology Market Association under the guidance of the National Science and Technology Awards Regulations. Authorized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, this award is presented every two years. It plays a crucial role in accelerating the commercialization, industrialization, and internationalization of scientific and technological achievements, contributing significantly to the growth and prosperity of the technology market.
