The automotive digital standard source technology is based on the application technology of RFID-developed vehicle-related information resources. The project was organized and researched and developed by the Ministry of Public Security. The project was certified by the Ministry of Science and Technology and listed as a key project in the 2007 National Science and Technology Support Program. Japan's VICS

VICS collects information such as traffic volume, vehicle speed, traffic congestion, traffic accidents and other information through sensors such as infrared, microwave, and video sensors installed on roads. The collected information is transmitted to the VICS center through wireless or wired methods for analysis and processing. The processed traffic flow, road blockage, traffic accidents, and road construction information are distributed to the public through radio stations and roadside beacons. At the same time, the road traffic information, estimated travel time, and guidance information are transmitted to the vehicle navigation system using the VICS function by means of FM multi-frequency broadcasting, radio directional wave transmission, and optical directional waves. The driver can use this information to make judgments on the driving route.

In 1996, VICS launched the market throughout Japan. By 2008, sales volume reached more than 3 million units, and so far it has sold 21.19 million units. Currently, 80% of Japan's vehicle navigation systems integrate the VICS system. The test data of Japan’s Toyota Company showed that on the same road section, the travel time of vehicles using the VICS system was reduced by a maximum of 21.86%; the average reduction was 9.52%; the average speed increased by approximately 5%.

Scania Racing Management System

The fleet management system launched by Scania of Sweden can realize the wireless transmission of driver information and vehicle data through GSM/GPRS, and can provide transportation companies with traffic management, driver management and vehicle management.

The contents of traffic management include: easy-to-understand fuel consumption display and records, vehicle status display, etc., which will help drivers and transportation companies quickly understand what needs to be improved. This feature monitors the vehicle's position and keeps track of the location and status of the fleet. Through the FM-Web (Fleet Management Network) platform, transportation operators can obtain fleet information anytime, anywhere, and based on recorded information, the driver can establish a rating report, assess the driver’s driving level, and discriminate bad driving operations, thereby helping The driver improves driving habits.

The vehicle management function can record vehicle driving data and generate a driving report, including details of the vehicle condition, driver, and driving conditions such as date and time, mileage, travel time, vehicle speed, engine speed, destination, and arrival time. At the same time, it is able to monitor and record violations from time to time, such as speeding, inexperienced driving, sudden braking, rapid acceleration, excessive idle speed, and driving beyond economic speed, providing important and detailed information for accident analysis.

Scania's system has many similarities with the functions provided by Suzhou Jinlong's G-BOS Smart Operation System, and the monitoring of vehicles is valued by the managers of passenger transport companies.

Volvo Travel Management System

Volvo's travel management system can provide users with trend reports, trip reports, maintenance reports and total reports.

Take the trip report as an example, it can show the user a lot of information about the vehicle running, including mileage, driving time, total fuel consumption, average speed, fuel consumption during driving, and fuel consumption when the vehicle is stationary.

The maintenance report may show the user the maintenance status of the selected vehicle, including the prepared maintenance, the completed maintenance, and the time of the appointment. There is also a cautionary note in each form instance to remind the user of the scheduled time for each special maintenance of each vehicle.
