Larry Shapiro shared the following update:

I recently visited Carol Stream and captured images of all three front-line medic units with their new numbering system. All three were stationed at Station 28, and I managed to take a group photo as well.

During my visit, I was informed that a new unit is expected soon — it will be a Freightliner chassis equipped with a Medtec ambulance, and it’s set to replace Medic 29.

It's always interesting to see how the fleet evolves over time, and this update gives a clear picture of where the district stands today. The upcoming replacement for Medic 29 suggests that they're continuing to invest in modern, reliable equipment to serve the community effectively. If you're interested in more updates or photos, feel free to check back often — things are always changing in the world of emergency services!
