Hey everyone,
Just wanted to give you all an update on the new fire truck we’ve been waiting for. So far, things are moving along well. The vehicle is going to be an SVI body mounted on a Sutphen Ambassador chassis. The good news is that the chassis is set to arrive at the SVI manufacturing facility next week. Originally, the plan was to have everything completed by early fall, but they’re currently ahead of schedule, so there’s a chance it might be ready even sooner.
Attached, you’ll find a PDF with the initial design mockups from SVI. The graphics look great, and they’ve already been approved with just one minor tweak—instead of using orange lettering, they’ll be done in gold leaf. I’ve also included some photos of the body subframe and several images showcasing the fabrication process from SVI.
