Hey everyone,
Just wanted to give you all an update on the new fire truck we’ve been waiting for. It’s coming along nicely! The vehicle is essentially an SVI body mounted on a Sutphen Ambassador chassis. The chassis is expected to arrive at the SVI manufacturing facility next week. Originally, the plan was to have everything completed by early fall, but things seem to be moving faster than anticipated, so there's a good chance it could be finished even earlier.
Attached, you’ll find a PDF showing the preliminary graphics design from SVI. The graphics have been mostly approved, with just one minor change—instead of using orange lettering, they’ll be applying gold leaf, which should look really sharp. I’ve also included a few photos from SVI’s website showcasing the body subframe and various stages of the fabrication process. Here’s a quick rundown of what the photos depict:
