The Robbins Fire Department, part of MABAS Division 22, has recently been added to the site. Located in Robbins, Illinois, the department operates from a single fire station equipped with four fire engines, a tower ladder, and a mini-pumper. The fire engines are sourced from various manufacturers, including Darley, E-ONE, Fire-Max, and HME. Notably, the Darley engine was previously used by the Orland Fire Protection District, while the E-ONE unit was originally from Riverside, IL. These units serve as EMS first responders, supporting Bud’s Ambulance Service, which provides Advanced Life Support (ALS) services to the community. The mini-pumper, built by Hammerly on a Ford chassis—correcting an earlier mistake that mistakenly stated it was on a Dodge—the was once owned by a department on the East Coast, but further clarification shows it was actually from Libertyville, IL. This addition highlights the department's history and its connections to neighboring areas. A photo of the Robbins Fire Station at 3327 W. 137th Street shows the iconic Chicago-style red doors, each marked with the company labels. The image, captured by Karl Klotz, gives a glimpse into the department’s operational base. Another photo features Engine 2923, which was previously stationed in Riverside, IL. Taken by Dennis McGuire, Jr., this image helps illustrate the unit’s past service. A third photo showcases Engine 2913, which was originally built for the Orland Fire Protection District. It was part of a larger order of five units from Darley, including three engines, a 55-foot Snorkel, and a 100-foot LTI rear-mount tower ladder. This unit, also photographed by Dennis McGuire, Jr., represents the department’s evolving fleet and its ties to other local fire departments.
