A resident was injured in a fire that broke out at a single-family home in unincorporated Crystal Lake.

The incident occurred just after 6:30 a.m., when firefighters arrived at 6015 Blue Court to find the house fully engulfed in flames.

One occupant was treated on-site and later transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. Fortunately, no firefighters were reported injured. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire, which is believed to have started in the early morning hours. The damage to the property and its contents is estimated at $300,000.
